How to Apply for Driving License Online in India (2025) — Step-by-Step Guide

Driving License Apply Process (India)

✅ Eligibility:

1. Learning License:
   

   • Minimum Age:

     • 16 years for two-wheelers (without gear).

     • 18 years for two-wheelers (with gear) and four-wheelers.

   • Must have valid age and address proof.

2. Permanent License:

   • You can apply after 30 days and within 180 days of getting the learning license.

   • Must pass a driving test.

  • Birth Certificate

  • 10th Class Marksheet

• Address Proof:

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Voter ID

  • Passport

  • Ration Card

• Passport size photos (2-3)

• Self Declaration Form (Form 1 & 1A — Medical Fitness Certificate)

✅ Apply Process:

✔ Step 1: Apply for Learning License

1. Visit: https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/

2. Go to Online Services > Driving License Related Services > Select your state.

3. Apply for Learner License.

4. Fill the form, upload documents, pay the fee.

5. Book test slot and appear for the online test.

6. Upon passing, you will get the Learning License.

✔ Step 2: Apply for Permanent License

1. After 30 days of learning license, apply for Permanent License.

2. Visit Parivahan website and select Apply for Driving License.

3. Fill the form, upload documents, pay the fee.

4. Appear at the RTO and pass the driving test.

5. After passing, you will receive your Driving License.
