India Passport Apply Process (Step-by-Step)

1. Visit Official Website:
   https://www.passportindia.gov.in

2. Register on the Passport Seva Portal.

3. Login to the portal using your credentials.

4. Select “Apply for Fresh Passport” or “Re-issue Passport”.

5. Fill the Online Application Form:

   • Personal Details

   • Address Details

   • Family Details

   • Emergency Contact

   • Identity Proof Details

6. Pay Application Fee Online:

   • Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI.

7. Schedule Appointment at nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) / Post Office PSK.

8. Visit PSK on Appointment Date with original documents.

9. Police Verification will be done after submission.

10. Passport Delivery by post after verification & approval.

Eligibility for Indian Passport

• Must be an Indian Citizen.

• Must have valid identity & address proof.

• Minors can apply (under 18) with parent’s documents.

• No pending legal/criminal cases (or declare if any).

Documents Required for Passport

For Normal Adults:

1. Aadhaar Card (with linked mobile number).

2. Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate / Matriculation Certificate / PAN Card).

3. Proof of Address (Electricity Bill / Voter ID / Bank Statement / Aadhaar).

4. Photographs (if not captured live at PSK).

5. Self-attested photocopies of all documents.

For Minors:

• Birth Certificate.

• Aadhaar Card.

• Parent’s Passport copies.

• Annexure-D form (as per passport guidelines).
